Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center is a Regional Gardening Education Network member site. As such, our facility offers adult programming that combines classroom education with hands-on experience in the field. Basic, community, and school gardening workshops are offered.

Gardening 101 is an introductory class to organic gardening. Topics include Soil Types, Backyard Composting, Bed Preparation, Using your Garden Space, Seeding Mixes, Plating & Bed Design, Irritation, Pest Management and Extending your Season.

Gardening 201: How to Start and Manage Community Gardens
Topics include; asset-based community development, organizing, finding and obtaining land, budgeting and fundraising, garden design and supplies, and community garden management.
