Trees and Fog by Cass Greene

Cass Greene has had a passion for photography since she was a little eight year old…. Of Cherokee heritage and raised on a tobacco farm in East Bend, NC, Cass could always be found with a critter by her side, a camera in her hand and a glint in her eye – that is if she wasn’t working on the farm. Her passion for the “Art of Seeing” grew stronger with every year of her life.

Ever in search of life and lifestyles Cass joined the U.S. Air Force right out of High School and spent a wonderful 4 years serving her Country while pursuing her photography. Leaving the Air force she joined Southwestern Bell Telephone Company moving on the Qualcomm, CACI and DEFCOM.

She held increasingly senior positions culminating in serving as Vice President in her two last assignments. While Corporate America occupied a great deal of her day, Cass never lost sight of her true love – capturing those slices of life with her camera.

In 2006, Cass decided to leave the corporate world and take up photography full time. Always looking to improve her skills and fully aware of the changes digital photography brought to the business, Cass went back to school to get her certification in Multi‐media and Adobe Creative Suites; a year long course of study. She took those skills and became an exclusive photographer for iStockphoto where her work is fully licensed and available.

It is unlikely you will ever find Cass without a camera and she’s been that way almost all of her life, it’s just how she views life…thru the lens. Cass enjoys giving back to the community and thru Chad White discovered Olivewood Gardens and is pleased to be part of the Olivewood Garden staff capturing the moments and events of this wonderful place.

Cass is married to Marty Greene who shares her passion for all things photographic!
