Join us in the Olivewood teaching kitchen for a hands-on family sushi experience! Our wonderful educators will walk you through making your own veggie sushi rolls using produce from the gardens. This class is designed for pairs of one adult and one child (grades K-6 welcome). Due to popular demand, there will be two classes offered: 10AM-12PM and 1:30PM-3:30PM. Born and raised between San Diego and Tijuana, Chef Raymundo Mendoza brings over 14 years of experience blending heritage, technique, and elevated comfort—drawing inspiration from street tacos and Chinese takeout to family carne asadas and classic American burgers. A Chef Dad and Executive Chef for CH Projects, he channels the flavors of Baja and San Diego into food that tells a story, connects cultures, and continues to shape his evolving culinary path. Together the Kitchenista Catering Team & Chef Raymundo will craft a garden-inspired menu that highlights seasonal ingredients and their distinctive culinary talents all in a beautiful setting under the stars.

Join us for our monthly Open Gardens and Property Tour! You’ll learn about the history of the property, Olivewood programming, and more! This tour takes place on natural surfaces such as dirt and mulch so please wear appropriate shoes. Tours at 10:15AM & 11:15AM. No registration required.
