In this in-person class, we are going to explore new flavors and make an easy oven-baked falafel pita pockets and try different ways to enjoy this tasty treat.

We are excited to present a live, in-person Olivewood cooking class in partnership with Fishful Future on Saturday, June 19 at 4:30 PM. Come enjoy the beautiful gardens and fire up the grill as we cook fish, grilled veggies and garden fresh salad, and flame cooked fruit for dessert. We’ll use sustainable methods to enjoy fish by utilizing all parts of this tasty protein- fresh caught and full of flavor! Our partners with Fishful Future will share tips on where to source local fish, how to use different cuts of fish, and introduce you to new fish species. Have some garden fun in our live, in-person Garden Explorers: How Does Your Garden Grow! Join us on Saturday, June 26th from 10-noon for an adventure to learn about plants, how to design a garden, plant seeds, and explore Olivewood Gardens for growing inspiration!
Garden Explorers is for all youth grades 1st-6th. Girl Scouts who attend will earn the gardeners badge (not included).

This seasonally delicious fruit will be the All-Star featured ingredient. Learn how to make sweet and savory recipes with stone fruit while enjoying the afternoon at beautiful Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center. We’ll make Bellini mocktails (or bring your own bubbles), Grilled Stone fruit Caprese Salad, Creamy Chickpea Cherry Pinwheels & Baked Plum Crisp. Participants will go home with new skills and recipes to recreate this fun and uncomplicated dish – space is limited so get your tickets fast!
Day of Play 2021

Join us for Day of Play 2021, a FREE community outdoor event for the whole family to learn, grow, and make nourishing decisions together.
In this fun outdoor event, families will participate in nutrition & gardening activities, take-home crafts, fun, physical activities & games, cooking demonstrations from the “Kitchenistas,” raffle prizes from our sponsors & more!
While this event will be held in-person, to promote maximum social distancing, we ask you to sign your family up for a specific time slot using the form below and ensure all family members wear a mask while on premises.
