Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center’s outdoor classroom and teaching kitchen applies science-based environmental education lessons, hands-on gardening, and hands-on cooking to promote sustainable agriculture, healthy eating, and healthy living for local students! Building on our 14-year partnership with National School District, Olivewood Gardens worked alongside Healthy Day Partners to revitalize school gardens at all 10 district school sites. We are now providing garden-based learning for all NSD students through field trips to Olivewood for 4th graders, and environmental & nutrition lessons at school garden sites for all TK-6th graders.
