The foods we eat do more than nourish our bodies but feed our hearts and minds as well. Preparing and sharing healthy meals together connects us with our heritage and creates lasting, nourishing memories of love and identity, which in turn, strengthen our bodies and community. With these vital connections in mind, we are proud to partner with MyPoint Credit Union to offer a free bilingual reading of local, award-winning author, Dr. Maria de la luz Reyes', latest children's book, Countdown to the Last Tortilla. Based on the author's own memories, Countdown relays the story of young Pepita's patience and resilience while waiting for a dress of her very own. Please gather yours together and join us on Monday, December 21st at 11 am for the reading and a raffle for prizes.
