What if I only want to rent the space for our team building event?
You are able to rent the space only – all add on’s are an extra cost.
Can I bring my own food or drink during my Team Building event?
Yes you can, but we do offer farm to table catering to make your event run smoothly.
Does my group need to sign a liability waiver or photo release?
Yes, we send a contract to each party and photo releases are only needed if it is a public or volunteer event.
Is there parking available or will we need to park on the street?
There is a small parking lot adjacent to the property and ample street parking
What if we need to cancel our event?
Changes or cancellation to your reservation must be confirmed at least 72 hours before the scheduled event, given staff time needed to purchase and prep supplies. If you must make changes or cancel your reservation within 72 hours of the event, you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee for the facility use and may incur additional charges if your event included an Olivewood-led activity. If you make changes to your event (e.g. increase/decrease number of attendees), a fee may be assessed if additional supplies, purchases, or set-up is required.
Will we have restrooms on-site?
Yes, we have portable restrooms that are ADA compliant.
What are some typical projects we can expect during Team Wellness days at the gardens?
Team building activities can include anything from a garden tour, a hands on cooking class, a seasonal garden inspired activity which can include paper pots planting or herb bundle making. We can host a recipe demonstration and tasting or screen the Kitchenistas Documentary with a Q&A. If you don’t see an activity that fits your needs please let us know what you are hoping for!
What Volunteer Group activities are regularly hosted at Olivewood?
Volunteer group activities are typically hosted in the garden and support our garden team with maintenance & other garden projects. This helps our garden staff keep the gardens and facilities running smoothly and efficiently.
What is the recommended attire to wear during Team Building days at the gardens?
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes, Olivewood is a working garden facility and most of our events are hosted outdoors.
Do you screen the Kitchenistas documentary as an event option?
YES! Please let us know if this is an option you would like to explore. We can host on site or off site screenings.
What is included in the rental of the space?
The venue rental includes tables and chairs and the use of the facilities.
